  • 4 boneless skinless chicken breasts
  • 2 tablespoons avocado oil
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • ½ teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • ½ teaspoon dried oregano
  • Zest of 1 lemon

Instructions
 

  • Prep the Chicken: Pat the chicken breasts dry with paper towels. This helps the seasoning stick and ensures a good sear.
  • Season: Drizzle avocado oil over the chicken, then sprinkle with garlic powder, salt, black pepper, Italian seasoning, oregano, and lemon zest. Rub the seasonings into the chicken on both sides.
  • Heat the Griddle: Preheat your Blackstone griddle to medium-high heat. Once hot, drizzle a little avocado oil over the surface.
  • Cook the Chicken: Place the chicken breasts on the griddle. Cook for about 5-6 minutes on the first side until golden brown and quickly released from the griddle.
  • Flip and Finish: Flip the chicken and cook for another 5-6 minutes. Use a meat thermometer to check that the internal temperature reaches 165°F (74°C).
  • Rest and Serve: Remove the chicken from the griddle and let it rest for 5 minutes before slicing. This locks in the juices.
